CHANDIGARH: Staff and students of the Government College of Education (GCE) sector 20 celebrated Lohri with lot of enthusiasm.
The ambience of the venue and celebration was in tune with Punjabi culture.
Students and staff members performed the rituals of Lohri.
On this occasion, they offered peanuts, popcorn and sweets made of til, chirva, gazak and revri to holy lohri fire.

Principal Harsh Batra wished the students a happy and prosperous Lohri and New Year that would begin on January 14.
She appreciated the efforts made by students and joined them for dancing and singing Lohri songs.
Jyoti Khanna, a student, said that it's her first lohri in the campus and she had enjoyed a lot as dancing with the teachers on a common platform is all together a different experience.
Another student, Rajni Jindal said that the function had turned out to be much more excited than what she had thought of before it.
